Nelson is leaving OSTP, and Cureus has some projections revised and questions answered/opened
A shakeup is occurring at OSTP, with Alondra Nelson leaving the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), effective the end of this week, according to an exclusive interview in Axios.
In the interview, Nelson is quoted saying:
We have landed some really big planes over these two years, and we’re in really good shape. It’s a good moment to step away with some work launched that’s on the way to becoming implemented, and leave that work for others to do.
I sensed Nelson had put herself in an untenable position as soon as the latest public access memorandum was released, writing back in September:
