CDC papers have to be pulled for now, and that might just be the start

Reports have surfaced that the CDC has instructed its scientists to withdraw or pause the publication of any research manuscript in process at any medical or scientific journal to ensure that no “forbidden terms” appear in the work. The policy applies to submitted, revised, and accepted manuscripts — basically, all but published papers.

As reported at MedPage Today:

In the order, CDC researchers were instructed to remove references to or mentions of a list of forbidden terms: “Gender, transgender, pregnant person, pregnant people, LGBT, transsexual, non-binary, nonbinary, assigned male at birth, assigned female at birth, biologically male, biologically female.”
